Dune Beach House (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

• Enquiries: when you use our enquiry form we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional), preferred dates, number of guests, room preference and your message.
• Bookings: online bookings are made through our booking system provider, RoomRaccoon. The details you enter there are processed by RoomRaccoon on our behalf and under its own privacy policy.
• Direct contact: if you call, WhatsApp or email us, we receive the details you choose to share.

How we use it

We use your information only to answer your enquiry, arrange and manage your stay, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the guesthouse (for example our booking system, email and web hosting providers), and only as far as needed. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and third-party content

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies by itself. The map on our pages is only loaded from Google Maps when you click “Show map”, and Google may then set its own cookies. Our online booking pages are run by RoomRaccoon and may use cookies. If we add website analytics in future, we will update this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, after which it is deleted.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. This website is served over a secure HTTPS connection.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us processing it. Email info@dunebeachhouse.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
