Whales and dolphins can be seen right from our sea-facing rooms, the breakfast room and the beachfront sundecks. Dolphins are here all year round, and southern right whales visit this coast from about June to November — keep the binoculars handy.

Where is Dune Beach House?
We're right on Wilderness Beach at 31 Die Duin, Wilderness, on South Africa's Garden Route — about 15 minutes from George and roughly 20 minutes from George Airport.
Do all the rooms have sea views?
Six of our seven rooms face the sea. The Africa Room faces the garden and has its own private sea-facing sundeck, so every room comes with an ocean view of its own.
Is breakfast included?
A full English breakfast buffet with delicious extras is served every morning in our ocean-view dining room. When you book online you can choose a bed-and-breakfast rate or a room-only rate.
How much does a room cost per night?
Rates are per room, per night, in South African rand. Book direct with us and you pay 10% less than our normal rate, from R3,420 a night. For two guests with breakfast, book-direct rates are R4,410 for the White, Sea Breeze, Sea Sand and Beach rooms, R4,320 for the Ocean and Shell rooms and R3,780 for the Africa Room. See all rates.
Can we see whales and dolphins from the guesthouse?
Yes — whales and dolphins can be seen directly from the sea-facing rooms, the dining room and the beachfront sundecks. Dolphins can be seen throughout the year, and southern right whales are usually seen along this coast from about June to November.

Yes. Our private swimming pool sits beside a sunny timber deck — and the beach is right there too.
What's in the rooms?
Every room has an en-suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and heating, TV with DStv, a minibar fridge, a Nespresso machine, a tea and coffee tray, gowns, a lock-away safe and beach towels.
Do you have twin beds?
Yes. The Beach Room can be made up as a twin with two three-quarter beds, and the White Room has two extra-length double beds.
